TALENTED gymnasts from a West Fife club have added more gongs to a medal-laden year with success at a prestigious competition south of the border.

Acrobay Gymnastics Club were represented at the Pat Wade Classic 2023, a national tournament for top-level gymnasts, in Stoke-on-Trent and they returned home with gold and bronze medals.

Each partnership from the Rosyth-based club performed beautifully, with two of them claiming top honours, and another placing third in their category.

Ivy Assamoua and Nosa Idehen picked up gold in the women's youth pairs category, as did Lily McHale, Imara Beattie and Khloe Cameron in the women's 11-16 years group category, in which Georgia Haddow, Jorja Smith and Alana McClymont took bronze.

Youth trio Freya Walker, Ruby Cunningham and Poppy Green also came ninth in a tough category and Suzanne Fraser, Acrobay's head coach, commented: "The Pat Wade tournaments are extremely competitive and just being there is a big deal for gymnasts. Taking home medals was a fantastic achievement.

"I know I sound like a broken record but I just have to say it again - I am so proud of our gymnasts."

The latest success for Acrobay, whose base is on Primrose Lane, comes after Molly McHale, Daisy Campbell and Nephele Idehen recently represented Great Britain at the 2023 European Acrobatic Championships, placing fourth.

In addition, Scarlett Haldane, Emma Nelson and Ella Gracie picked up the Junior Gymnast of the Year prize at the Scottish Gymnastics Awards, at which Acrobay were named Club of the Year, having won gold representing GB at the Gutenberg Cup in Mainz, Germany.
