FOLKSVILLE returns with an evening of live music at Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline.
The event on Sunday June 9 will be a family affair and showcase two bands - William Hershaw & The Leid, and Paper Sparrows.
Both acts will be playing newly released music which has been brought out on the Folksville record label.
David Hershaw, from the Paper Sparrows, said: "It’s been a couple of years since we last brought Folksville to Fire Station Creative and we’re delighted to be back at such a welcoming and supportive venue.
“The night is a chance for us to showcase two bands and the new music that we’re so proud to have released.”

William Hershaw is an acclaimed poet, playwright, folk song musician and Scots language activist from Fife.
He has won the Callum MacDonald Award and The McCash Prize for Scots Poetry and will be familiar to many at Fire Station Creative, having exhibited his poetry alongside artist Les McConel at last year’s exhibition ‘McSuibne Agley’.
Alongside a dynamic and skilful band, William will perform songs from his latest album, ‘LEID’, a collection of rock ‘n’ roll numbers in the Scots language.
On the pleasure of performing alongside his father, David said: “His closing number ‘The Otter’ is one of the most enjoyable and unpredictable songs I’ve ever heard - very entertaining and it’s worth coming just for that.”
The alternative-folk trio Paper Sparrows, who play the famous Cambridge Folk Festival this summer, are known for their distinctive twin acoustic guitar, finger-picking and vocal harmonies.
In their music, there are influences from great 60’s folk-revivalists such as Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Dylan and Donovan.
Tickets cost £10 and are available to buy on Eventbrite or from Fire Station Creative.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
