A 13 year-old girl has been charged following an incident at a West Fife high school.
Police were called to Dunfermline High just before 11am yesterday (Wednesday) following a disturbance.
Fife Council's education chief, Shelagh McLean, has confirmed that the incident involving a pupil was "dealt with swiftly" by school staff.

She added: "It has been reported to police and the school is co-operating fully with them."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.55am on Wednesday, 20 March, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance at a school on Jennie Rennie’s Road in Dunfermline.
“A 13-year-old girl was charged in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the relevant authorities.”
