VOTERS in Clackmannanshire will help elect the MP for Dunfermline in the next UK General Election after changes to parliamentary constituencies were nodded through by Fife Council.
They'll be included in a new Dunfermline and Dollar seat as part of a re-drawing of the political boundaries which will see the number of Scottish MPs at Westminster drop from 59 to 57.
A previous proposal, which would have seen Kinross-shire become part of the constituency, was dropped but the constituency will head as far north as Yetts of Muckhart and take in Forestmill and Dollar.
The Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy constituency keeps the same name but extends further into West Fife, and will now include North Queensferry, Inverkeithing, Crossgates, Hill of Beath and Cowdenbeath and Mossside, which used to be within the Dunfermline and West Fife boundary.
Kelty West moves into Dunfermline and Dollar while Kelty and Oakfield, Ballingry, Lochore, Crosshill and Lochgelly all move into a new Glenrothes and Mid Fife seat.
The fourth constituency is North East Fife.

The changes to local polling districts and constituency boundaries were approved without debate at the full council meeting on Thursday.
They have already been signed off by ministers and the final recommendations require to be implemented prior to the next UK Parliament election which is due to be held no later than January 28, 2025.
The Boundary Commission of Scotland began its review of UK Parliament constituencies north of the border in January 2021 and the result is a reduction in the number of Scottish MPs at Westminster, from 59 to 57.
The commission submitted its final recommendations to the UK Parliament on June 28.
The current constituencies in the Kingdom are: Dunfermline and West Fife; Cowdenbeath and Kirkcaldy; Glenrothes; and North East Fife.
The changes do not affect the boundaries of the Scottish Parliament constituencies or council wards.
