RODDEN Elizabeth Hamilton (Betty) (Kelty) Suddenly and unexpectedly, after a short illness, at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, March, 20, 2024, Betty (Sister Rodden), beloved wife of the late Thomas, dearest and devoted mum to Anne and Neil and Jane and Michael, doting gran to Michael, Jane, Louise, Liam and Jemma and a cherished wee gran to Tomas and Aidan. Betty will be sadly missed by all her family and friends alike. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's R.C Church, Kelty, on Wednesday, April 10 at 11.30am, followed by committal at Dunfermline Crematorium at 1.15pm, to which all are welcome. Family flowers only please.

I am so very upset to hear this news. I was a student nurse with Sister Rodden at Milesmark Hospital.. I am now in my 60s and still working as a nurse and she was the one person who had a huge positive effect on me. She was an excellent role model and teacher with a wonderful sense of humour and I have always based my work on how she taught me. I have such fond memories still of my time with her - she was my true inspiration.
